(TQ 90251767) A portion of the N.W angle of the town wall probably built c.1415. All that remains (except for some foundations on the W.) of the town wall which enclosed 150 acres. (2)
Probably not the town wall NW angle but the remains of "Stone Mill" (ef Auth 3). No trace of town wall save for "toothing" at the three extant gates. [TQ 91 NW 12, 13, 14]. (3)
(TQ 90101749) Scarp or double scarp feature probably on line of original town defence. [Surveyed at 1:2500] (TQ 90501675) Conjectural course of town defence (approximate) deduced by relationship to natural slopes of former cliff and gates. (4)
