More information : 2/8 Hatton Hall Grade II Farmhouse: c. 1830. Flemish bond red brick wth some yellow headers. Welsh slate roof which projects at eaves and verges. 2 gable brick chimneys. Double-pile plan. 3-storey, symmetrical 3-bay front. End bays have 3-light wooden casements with panels of small-pane glazing above, under plastered wedged brick heads and with stone sills. Simpler 3-light casements in top storey. Late C19 brick porch with planted timbers in gable, contains 6-panelled door. Similar 2-light windows above. Interior: Entry into lobby with well staircase of plain balusters and curving mahogany handrail. 4-panelled doors and some exposed ceiling beams. Stands within well-preserved medieval moat and built to replace a considerable timber-framed manor house. 2/9 Causeway over moat at Hatton Hall Grade II Revetted causeway: probably early C19 but possibly earlier. Dressed red sandstone with tooling marks. Solid side walls with projecting band at road level. Restored parapet with rounded coping. Listed for group value only. (1)
