WHEEL GREGORY MINE

The Wheel Gregory mine at Court Hill was in operation by January 1857. It produced predominantly iron but also raised copper. Remains of the mine were visible as a low bank forming a sub-rectangular enclosure on aerial photographs. The adits were shown on the 1979 1:10,000 map.
