Summary : A cropmark linear ditch on Lake Down. Located to the west of the Lake barrow group (SU 13 NW 48), it is crossed, or it crosses, the southern of the two linear earthworks SU 13 NW 18. The precise relationship between the two is unclear. Numerous trackways criss cross Lake Down and this feature appears to link up with a number which cross at a gap in the linear earthwork boundary SU 13 NW 18. It is possible it is a relatively modern feature.
More information : Ditch extending from SU 11753941 to SU 11663920, on Lake Down, almost flattened by ploughing. Extends S then SE for c.240m on W side of Lake barrow group (SU 13 NW 48). It appears to be crossed by boundary earthwork SU 13 NW 18. (1)
