More information : Outbuilding (TQ 4104 8778 FCE). Late eighteenth century, originally a courtyard of outbuildings to Wanstead House. South side is a brown brick barn of about five bays with pedimented centre and round headed archway. Pantile roof. East and west ends have central two storey brown brick buildings with pedimented pantile roofs. One-storey weather boarded buildings with pan tile roofs right round and in front of all buildings save central east and west blocks. Original wrought iron openwork gate piers. The south front of the barn is two-storeys, six windows, central archway. Modern south extension with large plate glass windows. All the buildings rather altered (1a).
