Summary : Scheduled portion of RR 7c and old field boundary and ditch N of Bateson's Farm.
More information : SD 6776 4657 - SD 6785 4675. Site of ROMAN ROAD (1) The published feature consists of the remains of a ditch that has been constructed along the course of an old field boundary. On the west of this feature and parallel to it is a very shallow swelling crossing the pasture field. The approximate width is 12.0 m. (2-3) At Bateson's where the lane bears away the road RR 7c is plainly visible as a wide agger in the field, with a bank and ditch east of it, to the west corner of Browsholme Heights plantation, where a turn of 20 degrees more to the north was made.
