Summary : Roman villa site, south-west of Mount Pleasant, indicated by cropmarks of enclosures and pottery, tile and tesserae.
More information : [SP 481 885] J Pickering has recorded from aerial photographs, a possible Roman building and enclosures but the marks are faint and hard to interpret. The area has been fieldwalked and finds included 40 sherds of Roman pottery, 19 tile and stone tesserae, slate, tile, slag and lead. A coin of Commodus was found by a detector user. Presumably a villa. (1)
