More information : TM 4207 4999, Two areas fronting Castle Lane were excavated prior to redevelopment. Medieval and Post-Medieval features including pits, postholes slots and a ditch were found. (1) A wide shallow feature was also discovered filled with oyster shells and gravel. (2)
