This infantry camp was positioned to the east of Kilnsea and was comprised of at least seven nissen huts, protected by low brick walled enclosures. These huts were corregated iron structures based on concrete beds. The site was visited by the Fortress Studies Group in 1992 during the Holderness Survey, they found the site to have seven remaining hut bases. These bases were in poor condition and considered to be in danger of total destruction.(1)
The monument is also visible as upstanding structures on air photographs examined as part of the Rapid Coastal Assessment Survey of the Yorkshire and Humber Estuary. A trackway is visible as the link between the army camp and Godwin battery (UID929478). (2)
