This railway block takes the form of two large and two small concrete cubes these were intended to hamper enemy forces trying to advance along the Spurn Point light railway. The site was visited by the Fortress Studies Group in 1992 during the Holderness Survey, they found the site to be in good condition and at little or no risk. (1)
The monument is also visible as an upstanding structure on air photographs examined as part of the Rapid Coastal Assessment Survey of the Yorkshire and Humber Estuary. (2)
