Summary : A linear boundary earthwork of Late Bronze Age ranch type. It is of bank/ditch/bank construction, with an overall width of circa 12 metres. It can be traced across Dunch Hill Golf Course but has been destroyed near the Seven Barrows barrow group. It relates to the Devil's Ditch linear earthwork system. |

A length of a linear earthwork originally identified by the O.S as being part of SU 24 NW 11 with an additional course extending from SU 21774877 to SU 22414893. Comprises of a bivallate earthwork. Published 1:2500 revised. (2-3)
A NE extension to the ditch is visible on APs as a cropmark from SU 21764877 to SU 22114898. (4)
The cropmark is not visible on the ground or on OS APs. (5-6)
SU 21774877 - SU 21074833 with extension to SU 22414893. A bivallate linear earthwork which is part of a boundary complex situated to the south of Sidbury Hillfort (SU 25 SW 37). (7) |
