More information : SU 20965266 - SU 20965245 - SU 20965234 - SU 20985221: A N-S linear earthwork situated north of the Sidbury Double Ditch Linear (SU 25 SW 166). It was originally described as an ancient causeway by Colt Hoare. The bank is 17ft wide and 2ft high, the ditch is flat-bottomed. Now forms part of the parish boundary between Fittleton and Everleigh. This linear earthwork may have been part of the Late Bronze Age boundary complex which is centred on Sidbury Hillfort (SU 25 SW 37). (1) |
