Two mounds were reported by the Sites and Monuments records but were not observed during field investigation. They may have been the result of the drainage works and have now been destroyed.

The SMR records two mounds visible on APs at SS 63154367 and SS 63194366, and an area of "small rectangular features, conceivably a field system, alternatively drainage features".

The field in question lies on north-west facing slopes at 293m above OS on Kentisbury Down. The Down was enclosed in the mid 19th century and formerly was open moorland (source 1).

No trace of the mounds, nor of the alleged field system recorded in the SMR could be found. The surviving features comprise amorphous undulations which represent former drainage operations, spring sapping and, possibly tracks onto the Down before it was enclosed. (1-2)
