More information : TG 23640881 Nos 32 and 33 The Close are dated 1682 and constructed of materials from the old priory brewhouse. They are 2 storeyed, of brick with hipped tiled roof and 5 hipped dormers with mullioned windows. There is an elaborate modillion cornice, ten 18th century sashes, and a stringcourse. The doorcase has a plaque giving the date and the initial RJA. Some 15th century details survive in the rear wall with the hinge of the adjoining gatehouse on the south.
