More information : In May 1992 the RCHME: Ferrybridge Henge Project recorded two parallel rows of pits, seen as cropmarks, at SE 4722 2436. The two pit alignments measured around 20m in length, and consisted of five pits each; they lay in a NNE-SSW direction. The pit alignments were recorded about 150m NW of the Ferrybridge Henge (SE 42 SE 31) and 50m north of a group of ring ditches (SE 42 SE 60). A full report and a plan can be found in the NMR archive (Coll UID 922907). (1)
In June 1997 the same survey area was the subject of a revision survey by the RCHME Aerial Survey section at 1:2500 scale for the purpose of the RCHME: Industry and Enclosure in the Neolithic Project. This survey was able to utilise aerial photographs taken after the earlier 1992 RCHME survey. The resultant plan, digital files and report are held by the RCHME (Collection UID: 1082880). (2) |
