Mainly C19. Ashlar and sham timber frame; 2 storeys; mullioned
windows; rustic porch; tiled roof. Built into and over the
Infirmary of the Benedictine Abbey which was founded in 1004
and the building embodies slight remains being C13. The north
elevation contains 2 original arches. Good original timber roof,
formerly open, incorporating early c13 wind braces. The house is
picturesquely sited on the river bank. AM. (2)
