More information : SU 19995784: Milton Lilbourne 4, a bell barrow with outer bank, overall width 159ft. Together with Milton Lilbourne 2 (SU 15 NE 99) and Milton Lilbourne 3 (SU 15 NE 100) has been regarded as a triple barrow, all three may be co-eval. (1)
SU 19995783; barrow 32m in diameter and 0.3m high, slight traces of a ditch. Published 25" revised. (2)
SU 19995784: A bell barrow, outer bank conjoined with Milton Lilbourne 2 and Milton Milbourne 3. It clearly started as a single bell barrow subsequently conjoined with Milton Lilbourne 4 by small bowl barrow Milton Lilbourne 3. Excavations carried out in 1958 recorded a central cremation situated within a timber coffin accompanied by a miniature vessel. A timber baulk and a small timber object were also present. (3)
