More information : (TA 2177 4594) Lozenge pillbox (probable). (see TA 14 NE 16 for full description) These remains of a concrete structure, believed to have been a pillbox of the standard lozenge type, are situated on the beach east of Rolston Camp. The building was constructed of re-inforced concrete and has been destroyed after toppling onto the beach when the cliff was eroded away. The site was identified by the Fortress Studies Group in 1992 during the Holderness Survey. (1)
