This pillbox of the standard east coast lozenge design, is situated to the east of Hilltop Farm. It is of re-inforced concrete construction and may be related to the nearby Battery Observation Post for the Ringbrough Battery. The site was surveyed by the Fortress Studies Group in 1992 as part of the FSG,RCHME:Holderness Survey, they found the site to be in good condition, by felt that it was at risk from coastal erosion. (1)
The monument is also visible as an upstanding structure on air photographs examined as part of the Rapid Coastal Assessment Survey of the Yorkshire and Humber Estuary. The pillbox appears to be surrounded by a barbed wire perimeter. (2)
