This pillbox, situated just off Seaton Road facing the north shore of Hornsea Mere, is of the `lozenge' design, one of the standard east coast pillbox designs. Built of reinforced concrete, it may have widened loops, although it is difficult to tell as the structure is overgrown. The site is, despite appearances to the contrary, in good condition, and, when surveyed by the Fortress Studies Group in 1992 as part of the Holderness Survey, was not at risk. (1)
