This road block was one of a system intended to prevent tank movements out of any possible enemy beach head established in Hornsea. It was comprised of four anti-tank cubes blocking the main road north out of Hornsea; these blocks were built of reinforced concrete. The site was plotted from aerial photographs by the Fortress Studies Group, and when visited during the Holderness Survey was found to be totally destroyed. (1-1a)
