Positioned next to the railway line on Lindale Avenue, Hornsea this
air raid shelter was a simple brick and reinforced concrete
structure. It was a simple rectangular building positioned on the
surface. The site was plotted from aerial photographs and was not
visited during the Holderness Survey, therefore its present condition
is unknown. (1-1a)

The monument is also visible as an upstanding structure on air photographs examined as part of the Rapid Coastal Assessment Survey of the Yorkshire and Humber Estuary.
