Owen and Blakeway show the stone pulpit of the refectory. Part of the pulpit on the outside formed a small bay window in the ruined South wall, and that part inside the hall, which projected considerably over the wall, rested on a bracket. Thw West side was a blind wall, and opposite that was a narrow door with a nearly flat arch. AO/60/243/5.(1)
Pevsner (2) says the pulpit is now by the side of a railway yard, South of the East end of the nave...early C14th, and authy 3 sites 49871242.

The pulpit is as described, see GP AO/60/232/6: Refectory pulpit from the North. A notice reads 'C14th refectory pulpit in its original position. The refectory adjoined the cloisters which led to the Abbey Church'.(5)
