EAST BASTION

DESCRIPTION + /

East Bastion. Originally a round-corner-tower in the mid 16th century, it was replaced by a recessed flanker circa 1584-6, become a true bastion circa 1677-88 and was enlarged circa 1745-56. Demolished 1870.
