Summary : A water mill at Morden Farm, depicited on a 16th century map of Cothele House Estate.
More information : (SX 4068) The mid 16th century map of Cotehele estate (SX 46 NW 5) shows the site of a mill at Morden Farm. Behind the present farmhouse there are the remains of the mill. This mill was probably part of the Halten Estate, its predeccessor is probably Glamorgan Mill, (SX 46 NW 46) which is situated much further upstream. It is known that in 1463 a Roger Bond was granted a licence to construct two mills on `Glamaryn Water, one a blowyngmille' the other a corn mill. They are refered to again in 1649 but in the possession of Pierce Edgecombe.
