Summary : Site of a Bronze Age bowl barrow forming part of the Aston Valley Barrow Cemetery situated south of Codford Down. The barrow, designated as Codford St Peter 4a by Grinsell (1957), is located to the west of the barrow cemetery. It was first excavated by William Cunnington in 1801 and was found to contain a primary cemation. A re-excavation of the barrow in 1957 by Rev. E.H Steele located an inverted Bronze Age urn.
