Hob Uid: 8817
Location :
Cumbria
Copeland
Ennerdale and Kinniside
Grid Ref : NY0680013200
Summary : A stone circle, probably surrounding a cairn, said to be on Blakeley Raise. This is almost certainly the restored circle NY 00 SE 6 on Blackeley Moss.
More information : NY 068132. A stone circle, originally perhaps surrounding a
cairn or barrow, is about 30ft. in diameter, situated on Blakeley
Raise. It has 12 stones, 2-2 1/2ft high. (1)

Nothing resembling a circle exists on Blakeley Raise, and Thomas'
description of 12 stones suggests that his reference is to the
restored stone circle on Blackeley Moss (NY 01 SE 6). (2)
