The ground plan of Shrewsbury Abbey depicts the Abbot's Lodging
standing SE of the church, to which it was connected by a private passage to the cloister. It was a complete house with hall, chapel, etc. (1)
No trace of the Abbot's Lodging was identified, but at SJ49911240 is an old sandstone wall with an average height of 2.5m. However, this appear to be a boundary wall rather than part of a building.(2)
