Summary : Windmill stumps. Remains of windmills shown on a map of 1710.
More information : (SY 6908 7139 and SY 6918 7127. Sited from OS 1:10000 1978) Portland South Mill and Portland North Mill are both shown on a map in Hutchins (a) and are therefore earlier than 1710. Both were relatively short mills with conical caps. They are the only remaining windmill stumps in Dorset. Grade II. (1-3)
