22-AUG-1939: Wreck, least depth 21 fathoms in 50 19 46N 003 26 48W.
25-FEB-1960: Depth over wreck 20 fathoms, height above seabed 48 feet.
10-MAR-1977: Wreck around 250 feet long, lying about 110 degrees on its side or upside down. Clearance by echosounder 120 feet reduced, rise about 45 feet, seabed generally about 175 feet. Shallow scour, wreck dived on once. Propeller is possibly non-ferrous. No rudder post or rudder near stern, shell plating is well rotted. Located at 50 19 45N 003 26 47W.
27-MAR-1983: Examined in 50 19 45N 003 26 45W. Least depth 37m in a general depth of 51m, scour depth 2m, height 13.7m, lies 060/240 degrees.
10-MAY-1984: Located in 50 19 45N 003 26 46W. Least depth 37m in a general depth of 51m, lying 098/278 degrees. Not fully examined, probably UC 49. (1)
20-JAN-2013: Wreck examined in 5019.789N, 0326.825W [WGD]. Least multi-beam depth 37.1 in general depths 49m. Scour 2m deep extends 200m along 095/275 degrees. Length 104m, width 16.1m, height 11.9m. Lies 035/215. Intact, possibly lying on its side. (1)
Charted as UC 49 (PROBABLY) in general depth 51m; bottom texture mud. (2)
Located 3 miles SW of Scabbacombe Head. (3)
The wreck site has one stern torpedo tube and is damaged amidships, not enough to confirm that the site is UC-49. (4)
