More information : Roman Mosaic and foundations. Some fragments of tesselated pavement were found here in 1839, and in 1858 were discovered the foundations of a Roman building which appears to have been of considerable magnitude. It is not clear whether these two reference apply to the same building. [TA 13457122]. (1)

The indicated sites were under the plough at the time of inspection and no surface finds were made. (3)

TA 1345 7128. Numerous body sherds of amphorae, coarse ware and a fragment of lava quern found on the surface after ploughing in 1970. (5)
HU 4 Listed as site of a villa. On the site to the east are cropmarks of five small enclosures streching eastwards, the easternmost being conjoined (TA 17 SW 23?). (6) |
