ROXTON

DESCRIPTION + /

A probable Medieval settlement seen as cropmarks. Moat and ridge and furrow seen as earthworks. The settlement was noted in Domesday, and also in a tax document of 1334. The site has yielded findspots of pottery from the Late Anglo-Saxon period onwards.
