Summary : A Neolithic polished flint axe was exhibited in April 1949 at the Barton Arts & Crafts Exhibition, where it was labelled "Found in Barton". It is in private possession, and was last recorded in the possession of Alderman George Canty, F.A.I., Bank Chambers, Barton.
More information : Polished axe of creamy white flint, 8 5/8" long and 2 3/4" wide.
Exhibited in April 1949 at the Barton Arts & Crafts Exhibition,
labelled 'Found in Barton'. In private possession. (1)

The above find is in the possession of Alderman George Canty,
F.A.I., Bank Chambers, Barton. He is very old and could give no
information on the find spot. (2)
