The remains of a Bronze Age cremation in a collared urn, were recovered from the spoil of a Home Guard trench running through a round barrow on a knoll north of Beech Hall in 1973. The finds, comprising nineteen small fragments of pottery and a small quantity of calcined bones, are in the Grosvenor Museum, Chester (Acc No Z 56) (1)
SJ 9138 7490. Bowl barrow in Lavenham Close, Tytherington. Scheduled RSM No 22592. A bowl barrow located on a local high point amongst housing development. A low oval earthen mound with poorly defined edges up to 0.5m high with maximum dimensions of 18m x 15m. (2)
