Summary : Of the original church, there remains the south aisle, which is 11th century in date. This was retained in the priory church [see SU 82 SE 6] in the 13th century. The tower is 12th century. The nave and chancel were added in the 13th century . The church became parochial after dissolution in 1536, but was rebuilt and the whole church restored by Sir Arthur Blomfield in 1876. |
