More information : [SJ 6276 6699] Cross [G.T.] (Site of) (1) The site of the cross is occupied by a modern road. At SJ 6276700 there is a square sandstone block with sides of 0.6 m. and with a square dished hollow in the top. The hollow has sides of 0.4 m. and is up to 3 inches deep. The stone is set in the ground and only 4" of it protrudes above ground level. It could be the socket stone. (See ground photograph). (2) As described. (3) As described. See illustration card. (4)
