(4) The mound as described, is situated on a prominent hill-top, and within an area of modern deciduous woodland. It is in good condition, although slightly disturbed by tree planting. Although somewhat larger than other barrows in the area, and surprising sharply defined, the absence of documentary evidence or associated features weighs against it being of medieval origin. It is scheduled as a barrow. (5)
