ins. diameter found in, or before 1851 in the garden of W. H.
Oatley near the churchyard at Wroxeter (approx. SJ 563082). Roach
Smith and Anderson suggest that it might be part of a milestone,
and Huebner and Watkin class it as such. Haverfield condemns it
as a milestone and inclines to think that the lettering, which is
only lightly scratched, may well be more or less modern in date
and the letters are initials of modern men. Wright concurs with
