ALBERBURY CASTLE

Tower keep castle probably built by Fulk Fitz Warin III in the early 13th century. It is situated close to the present border between England and Wales. The remains include a rectangular stone keep and curtain wall probably early 13th century in date enclosing an area of about a quarter of an acre. The remains survive as a ruined building. Scheduled.
