MONUMENT NO. 65886

Bronze Age round barrow situated on a level ridge overlooking Hard Dale Gill towards the western edge of Broxa Forest. The earth and stone mound stands up to 0.8 metres high and 11 metres in diameter. In the centre of the mound is a hollow caused by partial excavation in 1949 by Lamplough and Lidster during which the remains of 3 cremations were uncovered in a collared urn.
