Lamplough and J.R. Lidster in 1951. A collared urn of Longworth Secondary Series, Form 1B. Scheduled as a square barrow. Barrow located 580 metres south-east of Whisperdales, in Broxa Forest. The barrow mound measures 10 metres by 7 metres and stands up to 0.5 metres high. (5)
The probable Iron Age square barrow is visible as an earthwork on air photographs centred at SE 9662 9313. The barrow measures approximately 10m x 9m and has been mapped as part of the North York Moors National Mapping Programme Project. The earthwork appears extant on the latest 2009 vertical photographs. (6)
