Summary : Landscape park and gardens to Fairfield House. During the late 18th century or early 19th century the park had been landscaped and extended. Formal gardens had been laid out during the early 18th century but were replaced during the late 18th century/early 19th century and improved in the mid 19th century. Gardens were also laid out during the early and late 20th century. The pleasure grounds date to the early 19th century.

During the late 15th century William Verna was given a licence to enclose 200 acres of park, the extent of which has been delinated from Greenwood's map. There is no trace of a park pale. (1-4)

Landscape park and gardens to Fairfield House. The park was originally a deer park which was emparked in the late 15th century, landscaped possibly during the the 18th century. The gardens include walled gardens of 1784 and a woodland garden. (5)

Formal gardens had been laid out during the early 18th century but were replaced during the late 18th century/early 19th century and improved in the mid 19th century. Gardens were also laid out during the early and late 20th century. The pleasure grounds date to the early 19th century. (6)
