Summary : Excavations at Glastonbury Abbey located the bedding holes of two probable crosses, described as `pyramids'. These features figure in the account of the first finding of King Arthur's tomb. A cavity situated between the bedding holes was also identified.
More information : (ST 49983884) Stone `Pyramids' and `King Arthur's Grave', Glastonbury Abbey. The bedding holes of 2 stone `pyramids' (thought to have been lofty standing crosses) which figure in the account of the first finding of King Arthur's tomb, and a cavity between them, identified as having held the remains, were discovered during excavations.
