Summary : College quadrangles and garden to Trinity College, Oxford. The gardens were originally laid out some time after the founding of the college in 1555. Further work took place in the late 17th century when the Garden Quad was constructed, this included work by Sir Christopher Wren. The garden became more formal during the 17th century and early 18th century. It was relandscaped in a more informal style during the early 19th century. |
