Summary : Later Bronze Age material was discovered from a midden during excavations in the 1980s consisting of dumped floor material and daub. No settlement evidence was discovered at this time, although during the 1960s hearth material and part of a domestic structure were found. The material within the midden probably resulted from the same phase of activity.
More information : (ST 295587- located from plan - Fig 3) Later Bronze Age material was recovered from midden deposits during the 1983-7 excavations. These comprised of dumped floor material and daub. No associated settlement was identified. However, during the 1961 excavation, hearth material and part of a domestic structure were identified. It has been suggested that these were the source of the midden. (1)
