Summary : Part of post medieval naval hospital. Queen Anne's Block is the north east building of the hospital and is very similar in design to King's House (TQ 37 NE 71). Construction started in 1701, completed in 1735, it was originally designed by Christopher Wren and completed by Campbell and Ripley. None of the internal features are earlier than 1714 in date. Converted to use as the Royal Naval College in 1873 after being closed as a hospital in 1869.
