ELVASTON CASTLE

Country house constructed in 1633 with early 18th century additions. A major refashioning was carried in Tudor style by James Wyatt circa 1817. Alterations were also carried out circa 1830 to 1840 and during the 20th century. The northwest wing was demolished in 1970.
