MONUMENT NO. 60177

Manor house dating from the thirteenth century and a corn drying kiln identified during excavations near New Inn. Earthworks were identified as the manor house's boundary ditch and two buildings dated by pottery finds to the thirteenth and seventeenth centuries. Further earthworks can be seen in the area around the village. Finds including Neolithic pottery, flint implements, axehammer, quern and a microlith were also found and are present in Ryedale Folk Museum.
