More information : Lost village of Crosby, at SE 406886, became a grange of Rievaulx. Cartulary has grant dated between 1153 and 1194, of the mill and some marshland, etc. (On 1857 6" there is a Crosby Grange at SE 40109247, Crosby Court Grange on 1958 6").
