Summary : Situated to the rear of the managers house/office at Skelton Park Ironstone Mine is a stable block that was constructed during 1872 from rockfaced sandstone with a Welsh slate roof. The stables housed horses for surface use as the horses used underground were stabled down in the mine. The stables were converted to domestic use in 1988. |
